Simon Dinner
Dear Fellow Democrat:As we move closer to the 2012 elections we realize how important it is to keep and further develop a two party system in DeKalb County. If you have been following both the remapping on the part of the Illlinois Democrats and the remapping on the part of the Republican majority on the County Board you will realize how splintered the districts are on all levels to help the Republicans. On the congressional level they have limited the influence of the DeKalb vote in both the 14th and 16th Districts.
Given the current situation it is important to keep the DeKalb County Democratic Party strong to capture county wide and local influence wherever possible as well as having as important an impact on state and national politics.
The DeKalb County Democratic Party invites you to attend our Paul Simon Dinner with keynote speaker, Lt. Governor Sheila Simon, on November 3rd at the Hopkins Park Terrace Room. The social hour starts at 5:30 followed with dinner and introductions.
Tickets are $50 each and tables of eight $400. Enclosed is a personal invitation. Please
respond as quickly as possible and thank you for your support.
Sincerely
Eileen Dubin, Chair
DeKalb County Democrats
